Bookkeeper helps kids with their books

Since husband and wife team, Dominic and Jayne Hardy of Hardy Bookkeeping Services joined Plymouth Better Together as Charter Holders, they have been taking time to find ways in which they can give something back to the local community.

After looking through the different ways in which they could contribute, Jayne decided she would like to be involved in spending an hour a week listening and helping children read in a classroom. So she contacted the delivery partner BITC to make an enquiry and now has an appointment at Prince Rock School in September to go through an induction. She says "Volunteering has always been something I have been interested in but I wasn't sure how to go about it. The Plymouth Better Together website makes things simple for you, you decide what it is you want to do and then contact a delivery partner. It couldn't have been any easier and now I get to give something back but also fulfil a personal goal."
