Ernesettle based manufacturer Kawasaki Precision Machinery (KPM) has teamed up with local company Tamar View Fruiterers to offer "Free Fruit Friday" to its entire staff.
300 apples and oranges were delivered to KPM courtesy of Tamar View Fruiterers to the Kawasaki staff to launch the new fruit and veg box scheme for employees.
Marketing coordinator Naomi Lang set up the scheme so employees can order their groceries at work and have them delivered on a weekly basis. She said: "We're delighted to have found Tamar View Fruiterers can make it easier to eat healthily at work. I realised my New Year resolutions had long fallen by the wayside and with spring arriving this is a boost to remind me to keep stocked up on the green stuff, not to mention the added convenience of having it delivered straight to work."
Steve Cardew, General Manager of KPM said: "Joining Better Together has been a catalyst for great new ideas such as this. We're also working with Plymouth YMCA to offer lunchtime exercise classes in keeping with the Japanese ethos of boosting energy levels in the afternoons."
